Job Description

Fusion Recruiters with their partner Justrite Safety Group (JSG) is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of E-Commerce Marketplaces to lead their manufacturing company's online marketplace strategy and operations. As Director, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding their digital footprint, and optimizing sales through various e-commerce platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing industry dynamics, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in e-commerce marketplace management. This is a remote role with once per month travel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Execute Marketplace Strategy: Define and implement the overall marketplace strategy aligned with the company’s manufacturing goals. Identify and prioritize e-commerce platforms that align with our product portfolio and customer base.
  • Drive Revenue Growth: Achieve revenue targets by maximizing sales and profitability on existing marketplaces (e.G., Amazon, Walmart.Com) and exploring new marketplace opportunities. Implement pricing strategies, promotions, and campaigns to increase market share and customer acquisition.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day marketplace operations, working with cross functional teams on inventory management, order processing, logistics, and customer service. Ensure seamless integration with internal ERP systems and adherence to manufacturing quality standards.
  • Build and Manage Teams: Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team of e-commerce and marketplace specialists. Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to drive individual and team success.
  • Partnership Management: Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key marketplace partners, distributors, and third-party service providers. Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to optimize partnership outcomes and ensure compliance with marketplace regulations.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize analytics and KPIs to monitor performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management to evaluate marketplace performance and inform strategic initiatives.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with marketplace regulations, product listings, and data protection policies. Proactively address risks related to counterfeit products, intellectual property rights, and regulatory requirements specific to the manufacturing sector.
  • Innovation and Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in e-commerce and manufacturing. Recommend innovative strategies and initiatives to capitalize on market opportunities and enhance competitive positioning.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in e-commerce and marketplace management within the manufacturing industry. Prior experience in a leadership role is required.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving business objectives through e-commerce marketplaces.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.G., ARA, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies tailored to manufacturing products.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with B2B e-commerce platforms and marketplace channels (e.G., Amazon Business, Walmart.Com, Staples)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies, SEO, and SEM as they relate to e-commerce and marketplace visibility.
  • Certification in e-commerce management, supply chain management, or related fields.
