Fusion Recruiters, in partnership with our client AbleLight, is in search of a strategic and mission-driven Chief Financial Officer to join their executive leadership team. This role requires up to 50% travel and will spend significant time in the Milwaukee office. Candidates should reside within driving distance or near a major airport offering direct flights into the Milwaukee area.
As the Chief Financial Officer for AbleLight, you will be responsible for leading all finance, accounting, and technology functions to drive financial strategy, operational excellence, and sustainable growth. You will report into the Chief Executive Officer and will champion fiscal responsibility and transparency across the organization. What you will do:
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals and a balanced scorecard approach
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, risk management, treasury, capital planning, and compliance functions
- Lead financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives
- Guide governance reporting and present financial updates to the Board of Directors and key stakeholders
- Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing finance and technology team
- Strengthen internal controls and drive process improvements to mitigate financial and operational risks
- Leverage data analytics and modern systems to inform decision-making and improve financial performance
What you will bring:
- 7–10 years of executive-level finance leadership experience, ideally in multi-site healthcare, non-profit, and/or mission-focused environments
- 3+ years of experience developing and leading high-performing teams
- Expertise in financial strategy, FP&A, risk management, regulatory compliance, M&A, revenue cycle management specific to Medicaid, and Board reporting
- Strong communication, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence diverse stakeholders while maintaining a commitment to mission-driven growth
