Position Summary
We are seeking a driven and strategically minded Business Development Executive to help fuel our next stage of growth. In this role, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities and strategic partnerships with mid-to-large pharmaceutical sponsors. Your focus will be on selling the company's patient engagement and enrollment solutions that accelerate clinical trial timelines, improve patient recruitment, and enhance trial diversity and retention.
The ideal candidate combines a hunter mindset with a strong understanding of the clinical trial landscape, excels at building senior-level relationships within sponsor organizations, and has a proven track record of selling complex, service-based solutions in the life sciences sector. This role is ideal for someone who is both commercially savvy and passionate about improving patient access and trial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Identify and pursue new business opportunities with pharmaceutical and biotech sponsors, focusing on clinical trial patient engagement, recruitment, and enrollment services

Develop and execute customized sales strategies to position the company’s patient-centric solutions as critical drivers of trial efficiency, diversity, and retention

Lead the initial sales cycle from initial outreach and discovery. Collaborate with leadership on proposal development, bid defense, contract negotiation, and closing

Manage and report on sales pipeline activity, forecasts, and key performance metrics using CRM and other sales tools

Represent the company at industry conferences, webinars, and networking events to build brand awareness and generate qualified leads
Key Qualifications
Industry Experience
- 3–7 years of business development or sales experience within the life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or clinical research sectors
- Proven track record of selling CRO services or similar services into pharmaceutical or biotech sponsor organizations
- Strong knowledge of clinical trials (Phase I–IV), therapeutic areas, and current trends impacting drug development and outsourcing

Sales & Client Management
- Demonstrated success in identifying, pursuing, and closing service contracts with mid-to-large pharma and biotech clients
- Experience managing long and complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
- Familiarity with proposal development, RFP/RFI processes, and contract negotiations
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field required
- Additional training or certification in clinical research, GCP, or regulatory affairs is a plus
